Itching as a result of allergic skin disease can be caused by fleas, food allergies, contact allergies, or environmental allergens such as pollen, mold, or dust mites. Apoquel significantly reduces itching, and also decreases the associated inflammation, redness, or swelling of the skin. Apoquel Tablets contain oclacitinib. The recommended dose is 0.18 to 0.27 mg/lb. body weight, administered orally twice daily for up to 14 days, and then once daily for maintenance therapy. Apoquel may be administered with or without food.
