CitraVet Potassium Citrate
CitraVet contains Potassium Citrate for dogs and cats prone to recurring calcium oxalate stones or low urine pH. Pets at risk for stones produce calcium and oxalate, which can lead to stone formation. CitraVet increases citrate levels in the bladder. Calcium then binds to the citrate instead of the oxalate. Other less common stones, such as urate and cystine, may be controlled by the same mechanism. Each liver-flavored chewable tablet contains 675 mg Potassium Citrate. To help manage urinary tract disorders, CitraVet may be offered orally or crumbled over food. Recommended dosage, given every 12 hours: 1/4 tablet per 5 lbs. body weight, 1/2 tablet per 11 lbs., 1 tablet per 22 lbs. Potassium Citrate.
Incurin (Estriol) for Dogs
Incurin Tablets are indicated for the control of estrogen-responsive urinary incontinence in spayed female dogs. Each Incurin Tablet contains 1 mg of estriol. The dosage of Incurin is not dependent upon body weight. All dogs should receive an initial dose of 2 mg (2 tablets) orally once per day for a minimum of 14 days. After urinary incontinence is controlled, the lowest effective daily dose should be determined, depending upon the response of the individual dog.
