Baytril Antibacterial Tablets are used in dogs and cats for dermal infections such as wounds and abscesses. Baytril is also used in dogs for some respiratory infections and urinary tract infections (cystitis).
The recommended dosage for dogs is 5-20 mg/kg (2.27 to 9.07 mg/lb) of body weight daily. The recommended dosage for cats is 5 mg/kg (2.27 mg/lb) of body weight daily. The dose for dogs and cats may be administered either as a single daily dose or divided into 2 equal daily doses administered at 12 hour intervals. Clavamox is a broad spectrum antibiotic for use in dogs and cats. Clavamox Drops (amoxicillin trihydrate/clavulanate potassium) contain 50 mg of amoxicillin/12.5 mg of clavulanic acid per ml. Clavamox Drops are used in dogs and cats for skin and soft tissue infections such as wounds, abscesses and cellulitis. Clavamox has been shown to be clinically effective for treating cases of canine periodontal disease. Clavamox may be used in cats for urinary tract infections (cystitis) due to susceptible strains of E. coli. Add 14 ml of water to the 15 ml bottle and shake vigorously to create suspension.
