Dexamethasone is used to treat severe allergy, arthritis, asthma, and skin conditions. It is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties.

  How is Medication Given?

• Administer via intramuscular or intravenous injection at a rate of 2.5 mg-5 mg.
• Follow your veterinarian’s directions when using this product.

  What Results Can I Expect?

• Dexamethasone is helpful for the management of many rheumatic, allergic, and dermatologic diseases, and other diseases that respond to anti-inflammatory corticosteroid treatment.
• It may be administered intravenously as a supportive therapeutic option when the patient requires rapid hormonal response.

  What Form Does Medication Come In? Injectable

  Dose and Administration: Sold as a 100 mL vial containing 2 mg of Dexamethasone per mL.

  Possible Side Effects: Administering this or any other corticosteroid can cause laminitis.

  Precautions:

• Keep away from children and animals.
• Observe treated animals closely.
• When administered a dose that exceeds recommendations, transient drowsiness or lethargy may occur.

  Storage Recommendations: Store between 2 and 30 degrees C (36 – 86 degrees F).

  In Case of Overdose: Call your nearest animal hospital.
