FDA-approved GastroGard (Omeprazole) Paste is used for treatment and prevention of recurrence of gastric ulcers in horses. GastroGard Paste is recommended for oral use in horses and foals 4 weeks of age and older. Each syringe contains 2.28 grams omeprazole. For treatment, administer once daily for 4 weeks, at the rate of one syringe per 1250 lbs. of body weight. For prevention of recurrence, continue with 1/2 syringe daily per 1250 lbs. for an additional 4 weeks. Omeprazole.

GastroGard for Horses, there are several possible causes of equine stomach ulcers, including travel, training, competing, limited turnout, grazing, or even just a simple change in routine.1 lf your horse has been diagnosed with stomach ulcers, GASTROGARD® (omeprazole) can help with the healing process. The unique omeprazole paste formulation protects the omeprazole as it works through the system for adequate absorption. GASTROGARD® is the only equine ulcer treatment that is approved by the FDA and proven to be safe and effective.

The safety of GASTROGARD® (omeprazole) paste has not been determined in pregnant or lactating mares. For use in horses and foals 4 weeks of age and older. Vitamin K1 Injection is indicated in coagulation disorders when caused by vitamin K deficiency or interference with vitamin K activity; to counter hypoprothrombinemia induced by ingestion of anticoagulant rodenticides; or to counter hypoprothrombinemia caused by consumption of bishydroxycoumarin found in spoiled and moldy sweet clover.
