Revolution for Cats

Selamectin for cats is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. Apply topically once per month by parting the hair on the cat’s back, at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades and emptying the entire contents of the tube directly onto the skin. Ask your veterinarian for clarifying instructions if necessary.

Approved for use in cats 8 weeks of age and older. Store at room temperature. If you forget a monthly application, do not double dose, simply give a normal dose as soon as you remember. Selamectin.
Each tube of Revolution for Cats 5-15 lbs (Blue) contains 0.75 ml (45mg) selamectin.

What is Revolution for Cats used for?
Revolution for Cats is a topical solution to control fleas, flea eggs, heartworms, ear mites, roundworms and hookworms in cats.

How it works:
Revolution for Cats contains selamectin, which is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. It kills fleas, prevents heartworm disease, and treats and controls ear mites, roundworms and hookworms. Revolution for Cats prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month, to prevent reinfestation.

What you should know:
Revolution for Cats is for cats 8 weeks of age and older. Your cat may be tested for heartworm infections prior to use.

How to give this medication:
Firmly press the cap down to puncture the seal on the Revolution tube. To apply Revolution, part the hair on cat’s back, at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube 3 or 4 times to empty its entire contents directly onto the skin in one spot. Give this medication exactly as directed by your veterinarian. If you do not understand the directions, ask the veterinarian or pharmacist to explain them to you.

If you miss a dose:
If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. Do not double dose.

Revolution for Cats should not be used in:
Revolution for Cats is not recommended for cats that are under 8 weeks of age.

Possible side effects:
Some patients may exhibit reactions, including irritation or temporary hair loss at the application site, salivation, decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting and muscle tremors. If you observe any of these side effects, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.
