Clavamox is a broad spectrum antibiotic for use in dogs and cats. Clavamox Drops (amoxicillin trihydrate/clavulanate potassium) contain 50 mg of amoxicillin/12.5 mg of clavulanic acid per ml. Clavamox Drops are used in dogs and cats for skin and soft tissue infections such as wounds, abscesses and cellulitis. Clavamox has been shown to be clinically effective for treating cases of canine periodontal disease.
