Thyro-L is used for correction of conditions associated with hypothyroidism in horses. Thyro-L contains levothyroxine sodium. Each level teaspoon of powder contains approximately 12 mg of levothyroxine sodium, USP. The recommended dosage of Thyro-L is 0.5 to 3.0 mg levothyroxine sodium per 100 lbs body weight given orally once per day, or in divided doses.

Thyro-L for Horses is a synthetic thyroid hormone used as a substitute for thyroid hormone when the horse is not producing enough, or to correct conditions associated with hypothyroidism. Each pound of Thyro-L powder contains 1 g of levothyroxine sodium (T4); each teaspoonful contains 12 mg of levothyroxine sodium (T4). Each 1 pound jar contains approximately 83 teaspoons full.

Salix 5% Injection is a diuretic-saluretic for prompt relief of edema in horses, cattle, dogs and cats. Salix 5% Injection contains furosemide. Each ml contains 50 mg furosemide. Salix 5% Injection is administered intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously. The usual dosage of Salix 5% Injection for cattle is 10 ml (500 mg) once daily or 5 ml (250 mg) twice daily at 12 hour intervals. The usual dosage of Salix 5% Injection for horses is 5-10 ml (250-500 mg) once or twice daily at 6 to 8 hour intervals. The usual dosage of Salix 5% Injection for dogs and cats is 1/4 to 1/2 ml per 10 lbs body weight given once or twice daily, permitting a 6 to 8 hour interval between treatments.
