Albon Oral Suspension 5% is used for the treatment of bacterial infections in dogs and cats and bacterial enteritis associated with coccidiosis in dogs. Albon Oral Suspension 5% contains sulfadimethoxine. Each tsp (5 ml) contains 250 mg sulfadimethoxine in a custard-flavored carrier. The recommended initial dose of Albon Oral Suspension 5% is 1 tsp per 10 lb of body weight (25 mg/lb) for dogs or cats, followed by 1/2 teaspoonful per 10 lb of body weight (12.5 mg/lb) every 24 hours thereafter.
